What we do
We specialise in preparing students for 11+ entrance exams, as well as with KS2 English and Maths. We’ve been supporting pupils with test preparation for nearly 20 years, at our 11+ tuition centres in locations across the South East. We are Ofsted Registered, and work directly with leading 11+ publishers and exam boards.
We strive to provide an engaging and motivating learning experience for students, through a range of teaching methods, media, and reward schemes. Students are regularly assessed, to inform tutors and parents about their development. Momentum is kept up through the holidays with extensive revision programmes. We also take pride in our support for parents, with dedicated workshops and fast and helpful responses to questions.
Who we support?
With safe and secure tuition centres in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey and London, we focus on children in Years 4 and 5 – the key preparation yearsahead of the 11 Plus test sat in the autumn term of Year 6.
Whether your child is working towards the GL Assessment 11 Plus, the FSCE (for Reading School), or an independent school 11+ admissions test, our courses are tailored to suit their needs.
Meet our team
Chris Pearse, Managing Director & Tutor
Chris is a qualified primary school teacher with 20 years of experience. He has also taught English Literature and Language to GSCE students. He is passionate about helping students achieve their potential, whilst enjoying their education.
He has written several books with well-renowned publishers including Collins, GL Assessment and Hodder Education. He started Teachitright in 2006 to provide a high-quality tuition service that would engage pupils and ensure each and every student is given the best possible support and chance to succeed.
He is always looking for ways to develop Teachitright’s offering and support parents and families with the process of entrance exams and school transitions. He has built a team of tutors that is dedicated, passionate and totally enthusiastic about teaching and learning.

Meet Luke
Tutor, Reading & Colnbrook Centres
Luke is one of Teachitright’s most experienced tutors, having been with the company for over a decade. Based at our Colnbrook centre, he brings a wealth of expertise as a senior school Maths and Science specialist, with a master’s degree in Natural Science. Meet Sadhna
Tutor, Slough Centre
Sadhna recently joined Teachitright as a tutor in our Slough centre and has quickly become a valued member of the team. With 25 years of experience across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, she brings a wealth of knowledge from her long career as a qualified primary teacher. Meet Sally
Tutor, Reading Centre
Sally tutors at our Reading centre and brings warmth, enthusiasm and over 15 years of teaching experience to every session. After retraining as a teacher at Oxford Brookes University following a 20-year career in journalism and media relations, she has taught at primary schools, worked as a Literacy leader and teacher training. Meet Helena
Tutor, Slough and Reading Centres
Helena teaches at both our Slough and Reading centres and has been part of the Teachitright team for three years. With a strong background in education, she moved from full-time class teaching into tutoring, supporting children with the 11+, working in schools on post-Covid catch-up programmes, and tutoring English and Maths through to GCSE level. Meet Hilary
Tutor, West Drayton Centre
With over 40 years of experience teaching children aged four to twelve, Hilary brings knowledge, warmth and creativity to her Teachitright tutoring. She has been an integral part of our West Drayton team for 10 years, finding real joy in the small class sizes that allow her to engage every child fully while tailoring support to individual needs. Meet Sangeeta
Tutor, West Drayton Centre
Sangeeta brings both passion and experience to her role as a tutor at Teachitright’s West Drayton centre. She holds a degree in Microbiology, a Masters in Biochemistry, and a PGCE in Primary Education, and has taught in schools for over seven years before becoming a tutor. Meet Hannah
Tutor, Gerrards Cross Centre
Hannah tutors at our Gerrards Cross centre and brings a wealth of private and state school teaching experience, having supported pupils with Common Entrance exam preparation as well as Year 6 children moving on to secondary school. Meet Tolu
Tutor, Reading Centre
Tolu tutors at our centre in Reading, and enjoys the blend of structure and care that runs through everything Teachitright session. She holds two degrees in English Language along with a professional teaching qualification, and brings over 12 years of experience teaching across several countries. Meet Paula
Tutor, Burnham Centre
Paula has been part of the Teachitright team since 2014 and brings a wealth of experience from her long career in education. Currently teaching Maths at a secondary school in Maidenhead, she has been working in classrooms since 2008 and tutoring for the 11 Plus for over a decade. Tutor, Windsor Centre
With almost 25 years of teaching experience, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the Teachitright team. Having taught and led a department in a large comprehensive school in north London, and taught for a decade in a private school, Steve is dedicated to helping young learners succeed. Meet Anna
Tutor, Slough Centre
New to the Teachitright team, Anna brings boundless enthusiasm and encouragement to every Teachitright tuition session. With five years’ experience teaching Year 6 and a strong background in maths across primary school, she has also supported pupils one-to-one in preparation for both SATs and GCSEs. Meet Julia
Tutor, Ascot Centre
With a rich background in primary education and a passion for helping children grow in confidence, Julia is excited to begin her first term with Teachitright this September. She brings many years of experience as a primary teacher in Years 3 and 5, as well as extensive work as a Key Stage 2 tutor. Louise brings both wisdom and warmth to every Teachitright session, following a remarkable teaching career spanning 50 years. Her background is as diverse as it is deep, with a degree in English and Education, a teaching certificate in sociology, psychology, and philosophy, and experience teaching everyone from primary school pupils to medical students in Nepal.
